Jovan Mrvos was born in 1948 in a Displaced Persons camp in Germany after WWII to Yogoslav parents and emigrated to the US with his family in 1952, settling in Chicago.  In 1984, he relocated to New York where he had an illustrious career in the music industy until moving to Indiana in 2012.  Here he became an English teacher and continued his love for music, building an FM station to teach the radio industry to students.  Since 2018, he dedicates his creative energies to painting.
